“Italiano per Tutti”
With any of the projects I have created this one is probably the most personal. I grew up in a very tight knit Italian family. I have so many special memories of eating homemade italian meals. Over the past few years though I have developed a dairy allergy greatly driving a wedge between so much of the food I grew up eating. With advances in non-dairy alternatives I have been able to recreate a lot of family recipes with these alternative options. I do still find that going out to eat can be challenging with a lot of restaurant menus being limited with options I can enjoy. This made me think that anyone with common food allergies must have a harder time enjoying the restaurant experience. This gave me the idea of making a technologically advance restaurant idea that would cater to those with food allergies or even dietary restrictions more options and great understanding of allergies allowing them a more enjoyable experiences dining out to eat. I wanted it to have to a more upscale feel, but with the benefits of casual dining tech options like ordering online or in a dedicated app. I named the restaurant “Italiano per Tutti” translating to “Italian for Everyone” in english. Honoring the goal of this project to allow anyone to enjoy Italian cuisine.
